While I slept Saturday, I spun a wish to weed my plants,
which I addressed immediately upon arising.
In so doing, I got my Lifetime Happiness points up to nearly 18,000. I was sure I would soon be able to purchase the Super Green Thumb reward.
Another wish--to buy a stove worth at least $450--was not so easy to satisfy,
since I had my heart set on a super-deluxe model that cost several times that much. So, the stove will just have to wait!
I harvested my garden,
and discovered that my Excellent apple tree had finally yielded some Outstanding apples.
So, I ripped out the tree and planted one of the apples in its place.
I even fertilized it with some Nice garlic, hoping to speed up the tree's progress.
That evening, because I had never used up 2 of the three cheeses or 2 of the 3 eggs that had come with my refrigerator, I went fishing near the warehouse. I knew this was a place where I could catch Alley Catfish and Rainbow Trout, the fish for which cheese and eggs were the proper bait, respectively.
Before 11:30 p.m., I had used up that bait and caught quite a few fish.
I had a wish to catch an Angelfish,
and another to master the Fishing skill,
so I headed up the riverbank to a good Angelfish spot.
I quickly caught an Angelfish,
got a new wish to catch a Deathfish,
so went to fish with Angelfish bait just north of the graveyard. In no time, I had caught a couple of Deathfish, which put my point total just over 20,000.
This allowed me to purchase the Super Green Thumb reward.
This put my point total back to only 46 points,
but after fishing a little bit longer I reached Level 10 of Fishing and so mastered the skill.
I received 5,000 points for satisfying that wish.
On my way home to sleep I sold all my Deathfish, plus some extra produce,
and so went to sleep with the tidy sum of $2,982.
I resolved to buy my new stove as soon as I got up.

I continue to be impressed by Grace and her super-efficient approach to the challenge. She's doing very well, and I'm sure she'll finish and be able to marry Jon in no time.
ReplyDeleteShe's been efficient because she's had the advantage of knowing what Gardenia 1.0, 2.0, and 3.0 did. But I suspect that the only way to finish the GAC Challenge as a Young Adult would be to pick the Perfectionist, Green Thumb, Bookworm, and Loves the Outdoors traits at least. Maybe Angler for the 5th trait; Natural Cook doesn't seem to be necessary, since all a Sim needs to do is read fast in order to get to Level 10 and complete the Menu Maven subchallenge.
